Cruising Khon Kaen

Heading up from Bangkok to the northeastern Isaan region you will find Khon Kaen a quiet and typical midsize Thai city with ample avenues, a laidback atmosphere and plenty of friendly folks. A major landmark is the City Shrine, where locals gather to worship. There is not much to see or do, except visiting a number of temples, spend some Baht in one of the modern shopping malls and taste the local  spicy Isaan dishes like Larp or Somtum
